In July 2014 the Mayo Youth Orchestra went to Vienna, Austria to take part in the ‘One Future’ World Orchestra Festival.
On this tour we had the opportunity to explore historic and musical Vienna, known for its connection to many classical composers, like Strauss and Mozart. We also met many other enthusiastic young musicians from around the world – and even taught them the Siege of Ennis!
As part of the festival we had a once-in-lifetime opportunity to perform in concert in Vienna’s famed Golden Hall (known for the New Year’s Day Concert).
