In winter 2013 a selection of musicians from the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra came to our Saturday rehearsals and completed workshops with us. We were one of four youth orchestras chosen to participate in this great project. At the start of December 2013 we opened for the Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Fergus Sheil, with soloist Tasmin Little, in the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar. We performed extracts from Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the Finale of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
