Mayo Youth Orchestra was established in 1997 and it now includes over forty members of from age 10 to 25. We have performed in some truly amazing venues, from the National Concert Hall in Dublin and Aras an Uachtarain for President Michael D. Higgins, to further afield in Piazzale Tettuccio in Montecatini-Terme and the Golden Hall in Vienna.
Our musical director, Anne Moriarty-Martin is highly qualified and experienced in both music and education. This expertise ensures that each child’s experience of the orchestra is positive and rewarding.
We hold rehearsals on Saturday afternoons, between 1pm and 2pm, in Castlebar. We do not require auditions to join, instead contact our Musical Director with any inquiries (information on the Contact Us page)!
