Mayo Youth Orchestra (MYO) was established in 1997 to cater for young musicians around Mayo. It now includes over thirty members from eleven to mid-twenties.
Highlights for our organisation include playing in the National Concert Hall and Áras an Uachtaráin for President Michael D. Higgins, participating in an award-winning film and dance projects, and tours to Vienna, Lisbon, Tuscany and Budapest.
Musical director, Anne Moriarty-Martin is highly qualified and experienced in both music and education. This expertise ensures that each child’s experience of the orchestra is positive and rewarding.
The orchestra is a very inclusive group and welcomes ALL young musicians. If your child plays an instrument and has learning needs please discuss this with the musical director to ensure adequate supports can be provided.
